Hi, I'm Dr Melissa,

The founder of Defy and MSUNN Yoga & Wellness, with the desire to bridge the gap between fitness and rehab!


I truly understand the struggles with pelvic health as I was a physical therapist in my early 20's, no children, and struggling with hip pain and bladder leaks while exercising. I couldn't seem to figure it out and my doctors told me to stop running. I said 'no thank you,' and dove deep to discover pelvic health! What a complete game changer. 


I no longer struggle with hip pain, run as long as I want, and don't have those pesky leaks with sprinting or jumping. 


Now I am teaching others the healing powers of truly knowing how  to use your core and pelvic floor to get back to the activities they love.


My grandparents are in their 80's still downhill skiing, kayaking, golfing, hiking, and kicking my butt while they do it! I want to stay strong and healthy as I age to be just like them! 


My goal is simple, I want all women to feel empowered, supported, heard, and their strongest self no matter what stage of life they are in! So they can stay active in their 80's and beyond💗
